Clan Rules:

War Start Times:

3am Greenwich Mean time on Tuesday and Friday.

Failure to attack will result in a kick, so bounce to Athenas before the war starts if you are camping etc and wont be able to fight.

Donations:

Donate at least 1 troop for every 5 you receive. This rule takes effect once you have reached 50 troops received. (some leniency is allowed by arrangement)

Do not donate to war bases on war preparation day. UNLESS you are donating lvl5+ wizards, Valkyries,Lvl 2+ Dragons, Witches, lvl3+ minions and lvl5+ archers to fill remaining spots.

Only donate requested troops.

Request specifics. i.e. "I want healers or archers."

Elder for donating over 500 per season.

Elder also if you have more than 10 Pine trees on your base!

Demotion for less than 200 per season.

Demotions for elders and co leaders with donation ratio less than 1 in 3.

Kick for less than 50 per season.

Co Leaders based on leadership ability. Ask for it and risk being kicked.

War Base Design:

Town hall (TH) must be defended, not necessarily in the very middle, but within walls and defended.

Clan Castle (CC) has a white radius. This radius must be within Village limits. This usually means having it very close to centre.

Otherwise its up to you. Make your War base interesting.


Wars:

You must attack twice on war days, failure to do so may result in a kick.

Lower levels should attack first if possible.

If you know you will be unable to attack when it comes time, leave the clan BEFORE the war starts, and rejoin after the war has started!

Athenas Dragons is our other clan. Feel free to join it when you want.

If you leave during a war, you will not be welcome to return.

Targeting for Wars:

We want as many 3 stars as possible. We want as many stars as possible. So targeting matters. In general ask a co leader or leader who to attack!

Do not attack people who already have 2 or 3 stars. Unless told to.


Try to find the highest 2 opponents you can get 3 stars against, and attack them.

Request specific CC troops, use big armies, all spells and Kings etc

Pick your opponent by what suits your army, if you are using dragons/balloons, attack someone with poor air defense etc.

Failure to follow these rules may result in a kick.

Smaugslarians  we have had an easy run of wars followed by two really tough wars... we have learned:
1. work towards being capable in a land attack and an aerial attack
2. be thoughtful in your attack..
 a. cld the base you are attacking be more easily attacked by hogs, or dragons, or gowipe
b. have you perfected yr strategy for that base?
c. how can you best get stars for the  clan, look up, look down and think about scouting

About defense, you will be kicked if you dont maximise your defense capability, we will post yr name and some tips in clanmail...ignore these at your peril. We suggest NOT asking for witches in CC, or a maximum of 1 witch. The best CC's have lots of troops (archers) including 1 wizz. And Clan castles that are hard to lure are still winning us wars.

Finally and most importantly. We should be maxing everything before upgrading Town halls. Personally I went up to early. I would suggest upgrading everything in the Laboratory before going up. Our TH8's should be able to use the GOWIPE attack strategy before going to TH9.

One final note - If anyone is playing the Star Wars version of Clash (Star Wars Commander)we have started playing that as well :p.  Its not as good as clash... but is star warsy!

Cupcakes.

Cupcakes!!
And new war theory... Just a few tips really... but most importantly.. CUPCAKES!!!!

So - My partner does cupcakes, all sorts of funky designs and we finally convinced her to make Clash of Cupcakes :p. Her link is here: www.franziscupcakes.com

Now for some additional war tips - Referring to targetting. 

BOTTOM 20 of our clan: I want our bottom 20 to all do their best to attack as early as possible. Communicate as much as you can. You can ask us for help and tips but I don`t want to hold attacks, as it is hard and I am a bit to busy. So I just want you to get in the rhythm of attacking early.
All of you should aim at the highest you can confidently 3 star for first battle - if you fail that attack aim lower for second attack. If you succeed that attack try aiming a bit higher. If you feel you cant 3 star anything, practice scouting - I want 1 useful scout and 1 snipe... It is always better to communicate first.
I am always pushing people into either hogs, or dragons... I will also add valks to the useful list for those who want to start trying it. If you cant afford 2 of these armys, then at least do them for 1 war attack.
I am still leader of hogs, though Hazy, La G, Stinky and Laz are all very good and can help teach them if you need help, and please ask!
Furryy is leader of dragons, though is backed up by a strong team including Tightbutts, Kiwi, Habit etc. So if you are unsure you can dragon a certain base ask these guys!

Most people not in the bottom 20: Communication up here is more important. I want those of us with dragons 3 to dive in early and 3 star as high as they can. Then the hog 4 crew can move in and fill the holes, then drags 2, rest of hogs, rest of drags. Obviously we cant wait for all drags to finish before hogging starts, so communicate as much as possible (claim targets), and I will try to point you at the right target... but highest 3 stars is a good start! Hoggers should not attack targets that are easy to Dragon, as we have more dragon capability.

The clean up crew: Those of us with bloons 6, drags 4, valk 2, witches, hogs 5 or balls of steel will be on clean up. Our job is to wait as long as possible and aim to get as many stars as possible at the end of the war. This is the hardest and most important job (as it includes all the difficult targets). So if you believe you can wait till late in the war, and pack a strong punch add yourself to this list!

So LC:
My plan is for us to have 3 clans - which I believe is your plan.
Good start. Up to here we agree.
Once per week we have a war exchange war - on the weekend. Here I believe we still agree.

Now comes the bit where we don`t understand each other.

This is what I want and will agree to.
I will call the third clan, "clan 3".

On Thursday night we will each send and receive 5 soldiers from each others clans.

So you will send me 5 troops, I will send clan 3 5 troops, and clan 3 will send you 5.
Like so:


Then we reverse it the next week, so everyone can visit each others clans.

This means our numbers stay even.

We get to travel and visit, which is fun.

We can play different roles - I want to receive people who need/want training etc.

If it goes well, adding a forth or fifth clan to the cycle is easy.

Organisation is not to hard.

Allies, attack and defence.

MORE WARS!!!

An alliance and new war times:

Things are looking up boys and girls, a few losses due to rediculous matchmaking hurt a bit, though we are now back in control. Our alliance with acetor's empire has been fun, travelling  between clans to aid in war time is good, and has been going well. We have changed the war time to hopefully land us with less scary chinese opponents and more americans! The new time is 3am GMT... 8pm in the states, 1pm australia. Depending on how well this goes we may change again to get into a Euro/american time frame... But will stay as is for the next few wars.

Attack capability vs Defence capability:

This is a big thing people are missing! You should be able to attack a similar level to your number in war, once at TH7+. Many people target lower and still fail. We need people to specialise 1 attack style fast! i.e: level dragons to 3 ASAP. or Hogs to 4 fast. Bloons to 6... These are the strong attacks I need to see. Giants are bad at war. It is all well and good to have level 6 mortars and level 8 archer towers etc if you cannot fight. You become a hinderance. So work on your attack strength first!!! (or at the same time). The best defence is a good attack!

Finally:

I have a new system to give a point score to war base design! See how you rate. 
The rules are: you start at 10 points. subtract your townhall level. i.e. I am townhall 8, so I am already on 2.
Then you get 1 point for being able to defend (not be 3 starred by) each of the following attacks: 
All Goblins (min lvl 2).
Barbs and Archers (min lvl 3).
Giants, barbs and archers (min lvl 3).
Giants, wizz and healers (min lvl 4).
Giants, wizz, healers (max level).
Dragons (min lvl 3).
Hogs (min lvl 3). 
Bloons (max level).
Golems, witches and pekkas. (Lvl 1).
Golems, witches and wizards. (max level).

So, a great score is 10. And it should depend on your townhall level. Once you have a war base design see how it goes at war, and count your score!
I am able to defend against everything up to golems, though am not sure about balloons.. so atm I am Defence score 9 (10 - 8 + 7). If I beat bloons I will hit defence score 10...
